AllFocal Optics is removing vergence-accommodation conflict (VAC) from spatial computing systems - the phenomenon where the brain receives mismatching cues between objects of fixed virtual depth and true physical depth. This causes users to be 6.3s slower at reading text on AR/VR platforms, and often experience eyestrain and discomfort within minutes. Lark has developed FocusFree technology, using advanced nanophotonics, where virtual information is always in focus no-matter at which distance the camera is focusing.
